Synopsis This talk plans to cover the why's and how's by which Buffer overflow attacks occur. This talk will also discuss the mechanisms that can be used to prevent and/or reduce the effect of such attacks. This talk will be useful to developers attempting to write secure programs and administrators trying to limit the damage caused by buffer overflow attacks.
