Synopsis KDE is more than a pretty user interface. Underneath is a powerful and extremely flexible programming model for developing rich applications. You will be introduced to the major features and composition of the KDE library and application framework.

Speaker Profile Sirtaj Singh Kang has written KDE applications (eg KView, Time Tracker) and libraries (eg KImageIO), and really likes the KDE programming environment. He has intimate knowledge of the KDE libraries after spending many hair-raising hours trying to write a parser for them in perl.
