On behalf of Linux Bangalore/2004 organisers, we invite your participation in the LB/2004 conference at Bangalore between Dec 1 to 3, 2004. More details http://linux-bangalore.org/2004.
We have been organising the Linux Bangalore Conference for the past three years and all the events have been very successful in the local, national and international community reach and knowledge dissemination. More details about the previous events are at http://linux-bangalore.org/2003, http://linux-bangalore.org/2002 and http://linux-bangalore.org/2001.
We would like to use Linux Bangalore/2004 to showcase the various Linux & FOSS user groups of India.
To do this, we are setting up stalls where such community organisations can make available information about themselves and their activities. This will enable delegates from across India (and the world) to get in touch with you, interact with you, and know more about you.
We will also make available halls so that user groups can meet with other groups, and discuss aspects of running a LUG, having activities, etc.
Your participation in the LB/2004 will be of immense importance to the the Free and Open Source Software community, since it would help the User Groups in India to meet physically and exchange notes and ideas at a common place.
You could participate in several ways in addition to attending the conference, as such. Here are a few:
Do let us know how you plan to participate. The community is keen to have your User Group participate and interact with other User Groups and their members.
Please do get in touch with us with your participation plan so we are able to plan resources for your User Group, in advance.
We look forward to meeting up with you!
The Linux Bangalore/2004 Team
p.s. Details about this aspect of the conference are being hammered out right now on the mailing list, so feel free to join it and to give us your input how we can maximise the exposure for Indian User Groups.
