TRACK OBJECTIVES
The objective of the SysAdmin track is to cater to the needs of system administrators who deploy and manage FOSS systems.
Goals
The chief goal is to encourage deployment of good software, configuration skills and an indepth understanding of the entire computer ecosystem.
Secondary goals are to introduce system administrators to alternative programs, different system management techniques, and continued education.
Theoretical and practical issues are equally important in this track.
A basic understanding of the Unix command line and application philosophy is assumed from the participants. Talks would be intermediate to advanced level for all subjects.
