Synopsis Open Source is the development process that drives projects such as Linux, FreeBSD, Mozilla, etc.

This talk introduces Open Source concepts to business and corporate audiences in a practical manner, taking into account business requirements as well as pros and cons of deploying Open Source solutions.

The title is not as frivolous as one may think.
Speaker Profile Atul Chitnis is the CTO of Exocore Consulting, specialising in Corporate computing strategies, internetworking and datacommunication.

He enjoys writing, especially "humanized" technology articles that not only describe a concept, but also give it a practical base. His articles have appeared in various publications, including some of India's leading technology journals such as PC Quest and DataQuest. He is especially known for his popular articles related to datacommunication and the Internet, as well as Linux -- an Operating System he has been involved with since 1993.
