Vinod Unny is the Managing Director of Enterprise InfoTech, a technology consultancy company based in New Delhi, India. Vinod has also been appointed as the Microsoft Regional Director for the entire North India Region. More details of this appointment can be found at www.microsoft.com/rd.
Vinod has been an extremely active member of India’s Information Technology community for many years. He is a regular contributor to India’s leading computer magazine – PCQuest (www.pcquest.com) – on many areas of technology. He has lead both technical and techno-business teams in the United States, Japan and of course in India.
Vinod has also been an active and popular speaker in many different technology seminars across the country and has been invited by organizations such as Borland, Microsoft, Caldera and the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) to speak at many of their events. Vinod has also been invited to many different management institutes and other technical forums to talk about the trends as well as technical presentations on cutting edge technology. Vinod has also won the second prize in an international contest conducted by Halcyonsoft, USA in 1999.
Being a Microsoft Regional Director has not restricted Vinod’s area of expertise. Although very well versed in Microsoft technologies, Vinod has also worked on many other technologies including Linux and Solaris.
Using technology most effectively remains the watchword for Vinod’s obsession with it. Having started working with computers at a very young age when computers were not publicly around to programming for the Internet much before it was commercially available in India. |
