In this presentation we will show the synergy between Mono and GNOME,and we will review various applications and demostrate how to quickly create rich, connected applications with Mono and the GNOME platform.
By allowing people to migrate from Windows, they can reuse their existing expertise on VB, C# and Windows and transport that into Linux and with no retraining become productive on this new platform. |
Speaker Profile |
Miguel works on the Mono project to bring a state of the art development platform to Linux as well as helping people bring their Windows applications to Linux.
In the past Miguel started the Gnome project, and Mono is very much a technology to accelerate the development of the open source desktop. He remains passionate about making Linux on the desktop a reality. |
