Speaker Profile |
A doctorate in Physics on 'Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics', Dr Bhat has worked extensively on data and information system architecture and inexpensive scalable networks that would require low capital costs and recurrent phasing without compromising speed and performance.
He was the Head, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Goa University, and was instrumental in setting up the Campus Wide Computing Network, Internet Gateway and Advanced Center for Informatics. Dr Bhat also undertakes Linux training for educational institutions, has authored books and writes for technology magazines.
He is currently working on designing and developing Linux based Collaboration and cataloguing System for an Ethnonmusicology Archive and a Legal Firm. |
